She is being so irresponsible to say a moses basket is something cute to have near a fireplace. Any company who sells moses baskets will state not to put your basket near a fireplace, and to never carry the basket with the infant in it. All that said, the reason why moses baskets are so popular is because they? are small, light weight, and have handles for taking it to any room in the house where you want baby to sleep. I used a moses basket for both my sons and love it!
